Secures naming rights to stadium stand
Two companies from Northern Norway are joining forces to build the concrete grandstand at the new stadium.
Nordland Betong and Jaro are joining forces to become grandstand partners at the new stadium. For the next ten years, one of the short sides will be called the Betong Grandstand.
The concrete companies are already involved in building the project, but now they are joining forces to negotiate a grandstand contract.
“This is a milestone for the project and an incredibly important part of the financing. A heartfelt thank you to Nordland Betong and Jaro, who are also helping to build the project. This is a real treat for us,” says Snorri Sverrison Rasch, project manager for the financing of the new stadium.
– So proud
Nordland Betong has been a partner of Bodø/Glimt since the 1980s.
– We could almost have financed the stadium with everything we’ve done together with Glimt. We’ve been involved every year. That means an incredible amount to Bodø and to Glimt. It also means a lot to our company—in terms of building our reputation, recruiting, pride, and identity. We’re incredibly proud to be a part of this,” says Tore Mosand, CEO of Nordland Betong.
The CEO of Jaro is equally pleased that the agreement has been finalized. The agreement spans ten years.
“We’re very pleased to have reached this agreement. We look forward to the partnership we’ve established. Much of the grandstand is made of concrete from Alta and Kjøpsvik, as well as from Langstranda,” says Ole Marius Thomassen of Jaro.
The project is on schedule
Frode Thomassen, the general manager of Bodø/Glimt, is extremely pleased that local partners are involved.
“It’s fantastic to have local and regional partners on board who are helping to elevate the arena. Some of the arena’s central pillars are located near the stands, so it’s a mosaic of elements that makes this possible,” says Frode Thomassen.
“Everyone driving by there now can see that a construction site is starting to take shape. We’re going to create one of the coolest experience venues in Scandinavia. So it feels incredibly good that there are Northern Norwegian partners involved, who are also great ambassadors,” he adds.
Thomassen also notes that most of the key elements surrounding the new stadium are starting to fall into place.
“There’s a sense of security in a project that’s currently right on schedule,” he says.
